I can hardly believe I'm typing this:
My dossier, she is done.
I have put that giant pile of documents in a big-ass FedEx box (too big for an envelope!), and have sent it off to my agency.
Holy crap, this is big, and it hasn't really sunk in yet...
Next step - it gets sent out for translation into Amharic (takes a few weeks, I think) then dispatched to Ethiopia.
It's starting to feel real, people!!!
Once it is delivered to Ethiopia, I will officially join the ranks of the Waiting!!

Yay!!! It feels good to get it all done doesn't it? Now all you have to do is wait... I found it much harder to have everything out of my control!

Nope - total (but very cool) serendipity that the fabulous Ms. Haze and I both submitted our dossiers on the same day. I had no idea until I saw your comment and just went to check out her blog.

Albert is laughing at me because I began to cry when I saw your post on the yahoo group. I am SO happy for you. We sent our dossier off to Dove almost exactly a year ago (July 24) and I remember just how delirious I was the day it left my hands. Such a fabulous day--I'm so delighted for you (and Haze too!!!)

It is one of the best feelings ever to mail that sucker out (other than anxiety over it actually arriving). I found myself feeling weird when it was done...I felt like I should be doing something but couldn't figure out what since all the papers were done. Congrats!
