Well, Paige was, as expected, super fabulous.

She and wondeful hubby Albert have an amazing son, Elliot, and are about to bring their daughter, Astrid, home from Ethiopia any minute now. In fact, Paige leaves TODAY!! So exciting. There I was, sucking up a big chunk of their time during what must have been a pretty stressful day, but they were totally gracious hosts. And generous with all kinds of good practical advice.

Elliot is a testament to their style of parenting, which is something I would very much like to emulate. He is bright, engaged, polite, playful, respectful, funny, independent, curious, socially confident... all the things I hope for my own (future) child. Granted, it's *possible* that he turns into a troll when guests aren't around, but I would have a hard time believing that.

Makes my own adoption process seem a bit more real to meet Paige and Albert, who are truly on the brink of bringing their own Ethipian baby home.
