shove off (in a good way)

I just got off the phone with a very nice person at the homestudy agency I decided to go with. She's sending me the packet of info and application form... I should get it soon after Christmas, and then I'll be on my way. She told me I can expect to be matched with a social worker within a few days of submitting my application.

I'm so psyched - really looking forward to making some real progress. I feel like I've been yammering and thinking and planning for so long without actually DOING.

It's like when you are going to take a big trip - so much of the fun is in the planning, but it gets hard to wait for the actually leaving... nothing can replace the excitement of that first movement you make at the end of the planning and the beginning of the doing.

And now that I've picked the homestudy agency, and the application is on the way to me, I feel like I've finally put both feet in the boat and shoved off the dock...

Took me 9 attempts to leave this comment - bad blogger!

I can't believe that we are both underway! It's amazing how we have mirrored each others process! I am so happy that you are about to embark on such a wonderful journey, and that we will be able to support each other through the various stages. Congratulations on starting!!!
p.s. thanks for leaving the comment on Margaret's blog for me!
