Social Worker

Finally, the social worker has contacted me. I've known the homestudy agency that I hired was working on my case, because my referrals had been contacted. But, strangely, they had not yet contacted me.

But today, I spoke to Leslie, my assigned social worker. She seems pretty nice - I hope she is. She told me it generally takes her about a month to get a home study done from the date she first meets the client. This is pretty speedy.

We have our first appointment (at her office) set up for Saturday, February 10th. So, by mid-March, I could have a complete homestudy!

So nice to have my first appointment set up -- I feel like I'm on the way now.
