ack!
I was just writing an email responding to a very nice brunch invite, and realized that I've lost my mind. I found myself explaining the following situation:
I'm leaving early Sunday morning for a 10 day business trip, and I haven't done laundry or paid bills or done a dish or anything else domestic in - oh, about a year.
So, in order to avoid packing a bunch of dirty clothes and/or having the utilities shut off for nonpayment while I'm gone, I MUST get a bunch of that stuff done on Saturday before I leave. And, of course, since I've waited so long, it will likely take me all day.
So, what would any reasonable person do in this situation?
They would do what I did: schedule painters to show up at the house at 9:00 Sat morning.
To paint. Inside the house.
All day.

That... is exactly the kind of thing I would do. Worst case scenario, pay the bills online from a nice internet cafe and go buy new clothes. :)

Also guilty - apparently I live for stress. Is it just the kitchen cabinets? If so, at least they will be confined to a central area.
Yours truly,

I seriously like June's suggestion. Take the bills with you! Buy new clothes!
You all - or should I say Y'ALL in honor of LaPamp's current Austin location? - are very wise. Internet cafe is genius. I am also planning on spending a thrilling Friday night cramming in as much laundry as possible.
Haze, it's kitchen cabinets AND bedrooms, but thankfully not the laundry room. :-)
So, new bedroom colors, please. I'd ask for the cabinet color too, but I don't want to pum p you for too much information ;).
I'll be sure to tell the children you love clean clothes and running water more than them!
SO much fun to do things like that! Good luck!
Yup, we're all about the paint colors!
