K

The ever-fabulous C.J. has tagged me with the letter K.

Thus, I bring you 10 things that I like which begin with the letter K.

1. Keyboard. Without it, how would I blog?

2. Kindness. I believe that the very core of just about every likeable thing in a person – be it empathy, patience, trustworthiness, or tolerance – is based in kindness.

3. Kandinsky, Wassily. Earlier stuff, especially.

4. Kabobs. Perhaps one of the best meals I have ever had was in Turkey – a lamb kabob with some kind of delicious yogurty sauce and grilled veggies. It was beyond good.

5. KATE! I love the name. Kate Spade, Kate Winslet, Kate Hepburn. What's not to love? It is also my sister’s name, and I have several fabulous friends named Kate (this includes you, Kate M.!).

6. Kayak. I am a fan of the kayak… have kayaked on the San Francisco Bay a bit, but more frequently is calmer, warmer waters. I love how agile a kayak is, and how the rhythm of the paddling can become almost meditative.

7. Kick-ass. I love Jennifer Garner’s character in Alias, because she is kick-ass. By that I mean that she can kick anyone's ass, and can run/leap/bound/duck/jump and do whatever physical task, but is still very much a girl. Love that.

8. Knife. I like to cook. And my very favorite thing in the kitchen is my Santoku knife. It is truly the best, most versatile knife I’ve ever used. If I could keep my Santoku, you could take away all of my other knives (well, except my bread knife).

9. Kerosene Lamps. My family has a cabin up in the Lassen wilderness in far North-Eastern California. My Grandfather built it, and it is way out there – no phone, no radio, no electricity. We use kerosene lamps at night, and the scent of a kerosene lamp brings me right back to the cabin. It is a wonderful place.

10. Kissing. ‘nuf said! Haven’t done it recently, though - sad.

Now - I hereby tag whoever wants to be tagged.

Leave me a comment if you want me to assign you a letter (no Qs or Xs unless I really don't like you...)

Nicely done chou-chou! K's kind of a hard one.

Love your 'K' list. You made it look easy.

I am drooling over the San Francisco bay...oh, how I loved being in SF.

Kayaking...my brother loves it and I need to try it. I keep thinking I'll get claustrophobic below the waist. Yes, I know I am weird.
